Frequently Asked Questions

Where do we start?

At any of the stations. We have designed the game so that all six stations can be completed in isolation but once combined allow you to complete the challenge.

What if we get stuck?

Head over to the www.puzzleline.org/hints and check out the clues that we have laid out for you.

When can we play?

Technically, you can play the game at anytime once you have the PuzzleLine leaflet. That said, we would advise not playing in the dark. Mainly for your safety but also because it becomes a lot more challenging to see the details.

How long will it take?

This is always a difficult question to answer as every group is unique. Anything from 20minutes to 90minutes per station. Factors that can impact the overall time depend on the extra walking between the clues.

How will I know if I have got the correct answer?

By entering the answer on The Vault page of the portal. It is up to you whether you check your answers as you go or all at once. For us we would try and check your answers as you go and make a note of them.

Any food and drink on the route?

While no food and drink is provided on the route there are a number of local pubs, cafes and shops in each of the villages. We would definitely encourage you to stop off and enjoy the local offerings. You may even meet some of the wonderful locals on your way.

Can anyone do the challenges?

Yes. We have designed the challenges to cater for a wide range of puzzlers. That said puzzling enthusiasts may find some of the puzzles a little easier than others.

Do I have to print the file?

Nope. We have provided an online version of the PuzzleLine challenges. You may just need a way of jotting down and clues or answers you find along the way.

Is the PuzzleLine accessible?

Some parts of your missions require a resonable walk, and some locations are easier to access than others. To help with your planning we have compiled an accessibility overview on each of the station pages.
